Solution
This Service Pack (SP4) contains added platform support, critical updates, and enhancements for Backup Exec 2012 revision 1798.
New features/enhancements are included in this release:
- Enterprise Vault 10.0.3 and 10.0.4 support
- Exchange 2013 CU3 support
- DLM changes for Backup to Disk (B2D) and Removable disk cartridge(RDX).
- DLM reclamation changes for Removable Cartridge (RDX)

Service Pack 4 Release Notes: (TECH215122)
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are upgrading from a previous version of Backup Exec or installing for the first time, please be sure you have the latest Backup Exec 2012 installation media with SP4 embedded (the downloaded file will have SP4 in the filename). To obtain the latest install media, have your serial number available and go to http://fileconnect.symantec.com to download. The Backup Exec 2012 SP4 embedded media will be available in 5-7 days after the initial release of the service pack.

- Administrative privileges are required to install this hotfix.Post requisites
Post requisites
- A full backup is recommended after installing this hotfix.
- Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.
- Remote Agent for Linux/Unix/Macintosh Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.
- FULL Baseline Synthetic Backups must be performed. Re-run Baseline Synthetic Backups.

Uninstalling this Service Pack
This Service Pack cannot be uninstalled.

The date and times in the file list are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
