Phase 1 of testing was to create the iscsi target via the MS 2012r2 Role and get it accessible from our Xen pool, which it is working without fail there.
Phase 2 of testing is now where Im hitting my snag. We are trying to DFSR or replicate in some fashion the iscsi target to a second machine that will eventually be setup in an HA mode to roll to the mirrored iscsi target if the primary goes down.
Server Information
HP DL380 Gen7 300gb R1 boot sector, 1.64tb R1 storage array, MS Server 2012r2, 32gb RAM, 1.24tb iscsi target created on primary server.
Second server hardware mirrors the first one identically. I have created the iscsi target on the second computer for testing purposes and can easily remove that target if we just need the drive as a blank slate for the replication.
We have verified DFSR can replicate the drive by putting information on the drive and running the replication process. The iscsi target however being its on disk for the most part will not replicate just simply by doing the drive and have hit my roadblock.
The servers are not in a cluster setup they are just two standalone servers in this instance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as is recommendations for a better or easier way to accomplish this task.
