So i am starting to setup our DR site and am using Netapp and VM on both sides and will be moving into VM SRM for DR Failover. The question is until the SRM is built and running i wanted to use NetApp Virtual Storage Console and have always heard that when i run the backup that i needed to have both the SnapMirror update and also VMWare Consistency Snapshot checked so that not only Netapp is aware of the backup but also VM is too.
Can someone please clarify if i need to have both checked?..
