We are seriously considering AppAssure and I have gone as far as setting up two core servers as a POC between two of our locations and have had success backing up VM's between the two locations and having Standby VM's at both sides on our vSphere 5.1 cluster. Obviously 4 VM's is a far stretch from the 30 that I will ultimately be backing up.
I'm concerned because of the support issues I have read about and issues with previous builds of the software (I am testing the latest build and haven't had issues yet). Will be backing up SQL and Exchange which I haven't tested yet.
Also looking at Unitrends as an option (already speaking to a sales rep) and will learn more about their offering next week.
I'm looking to see if there are happy AppAssure users that haven't had major problems with the software in a midsized implementation.
I have high end hardware quoted to handle the load and believe I have things engineered correctly.
Any feedback would be great. Yes I have looked at Veeam but I have a mixed environment, and have also look at Quorum but their initial round of pricing and over $20K of maintenance per year did me in.
