I am running BUE 2010 R3 (for now). When I need to restore an old file from tape, I get the old tape back and run the catalog to make sure I've got the files I need.
So here is the rub. If my entire backup of this particular folder/share is spread across tapes A and B, then why do i get prompted to insert tapes G and K before the catalog can complete. Shouldn't the entire catalog for that tape reside on that tape? Is there a way of specifying that? I have the option selected to keep the catalog on tape but If I call tapes A and B to be delivered but not tapes G and K (which do not show to have been used in the job).
