My company has just bought an LTO-6 drive from Tandberg. In reality, it's just a rebranded HP one - it looks the same, it uses the HP drivers etc etc etc. We also invested in Veeam at the same time.
The one major annoyance is that Veeam doesn't support tape encryption unless it's managed by some other application that is transparent to Veeam. After scouring the web for about a day, I'm now inclined to give up. I really need some solution to enable us to encrypt our tapes - particularly the ones we're taking offsite.
Does anybody, please, have any ideas on this? I'll happily take a HP, a Tandberg or a third party piece of software.
