We are currently using an archaic tape drive system for backups. I hate it. It hates me. I need a new solution.
We are a small consulting business (less than 50 employees). We have a physical environment with three servers active (DC/print server, file server, SQL server) and approximately 1.5 TB active data being backed up.
Looking for both appliance type and cloud based back-up solutions. Our file server went down on Tuesday and we have been down ever since due to the nature of the tapes and software we currently use. We need something that backs up data constantly (every 5-15 min) and can get us back online in less than an hour in the event of a disaster.
We currently use CA ARCserve. I don't like it. Please don't suggest it. Have researched Dell AppAssure and like the direction they are going, but not sure if it's the best solution for our company size & environment.
